Hotel Eastlund, the former Red Lion hotel in the Lloyd District, received a $10 million update and opened in May 2015.

The six-story building received significant updates from concepts designed by Holst Architecture.

Sections of post-tensioned concrete were removed to create a shaft for an express elevator to the hotel’s new top-floor restaurant and bar, Altabira City Tavern.

 

The previously windowless top-floor ballroom was opened up, allowing for bright natural light and downtown views.

Additionally, pedestrian access improvements were made to convert a driveway to a pedestrian entrance, thus allowing for lobby expansion.
